    Zoning applications and information
    Go to the Zoning web page for planning applications (zone change, development review, conditional use permit, subdivision), administrative waivers/variances, land division/combinations, zoning verification requests, and home occupation information.

    Special event liquor license
    Go to Arizona Department of Liquor. Application form can be found by clicking here and scrolling to the Special Event Permit Application Kit - Series 15. State Special Event Liquor License applications must be received by the city at least 60 days prior to the event for processing. The state requires the city to review and approve the application prior to the state issuance of a license. Contact the state at 602-542-5141; contact the City Clerk’s Office at 928-282-3113 for information about the city review and approval process. The local fee for a Special Event Liquor License is a $25 review fee. All other Liquor Licenses have a local fee of $50.

    Building permit application
    See “When a building permit is required” for information on which projects require a building permit. Permit packets consist of multiple documents, such as instructions and applications (combined into a single PDF). You may download, save, and print each packet. The application forms can be filled in electronically for your convenience (it is recommended that you save the file to your computer prior to filling in and printing the form).

    Plans and permit applications are processed on a first come, first served basis. Review times vary with the complexity of the project, volume of permit applications, and quality of submittals received. Additional time may be needed to address corrections or obtain other agency approvals before the permit is issued. 

    Building permit fees and valuation
    Building permit fees are based on the valuation of your project and include both permit review and inspection fees. While calculating the fees for building permits can be complex, the basis for the calculations are found in City Code 15.05.060, Building Permit Fees and Valuation. Other fees that could be charged include, but are not limited to: Development Impact Fees, Wastewater Fees, Grading Fees, and Drainage Basin Fees. While final fees will be determined after a complete review of your plans, Community Development staff can assist with determining which fees will apply and providing a preliminary estimate.
