About the City Manager

Sedona functions under a Council-Manager form of government in which the city manager is appointed by the mayor and city council, and reports directly to the elected officials. As the city's Chief Administrative Officer, the manager is responsible for carrying out policy enacted by the council, overseeing the administration of the city, and maintaining intergovernmental relationships.

The city manager's executive team includes department heads: Police Chief, City Attorney, City Magistrate, City Clerk, and directors of Communications, Community Development, Economic Development, Public Works & Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technologies & Services, Parks & Recreation, and Wastewater.
